Today is that one day of the year when all Muslims wake up and feel a different excitement. There is excitement in everything ...the new clothes, the atmosphere, the sewain dish ,sweets, Eidi , the Eid prayer, greeting friends...everything! Soooo Eid Mubarak to you!
Eid arrived really quick this time. Well according to me it has.
I always get excited when I hear that the moon has been sighted the day before Eid but at the same time I get all worried when I realize that there's a lot of work to do. It happened yesterday too but as always we managed. It's fun to wake up in the morning and greet everyone and shower ,wear your new clothes and eat sweets and before it's late there are guests at your door, happy kids who share the same feelings about this occasion . And then the smell of henna zooms in . We plan a lot of parties and are enjoying on all the three days of Eid, inviting and visiting people. It's probably the only occasion in the whole year when we carefully cherish every moment. There's always the Eid events in the Corniche and malls. The fire cracker show at the corniche is probably the only event that gets the most audience and applause. I haven't enjoyed much yet. But i haven't lost hopes either. The day is young and I intend to make the most of it at least for the next few hours. Bye for now!
