Liebster Award nomination

Eid Mubarak y'all.

I hope you are having a wonderful Eid-ul-Adha. Time is flying so fast. It was March only a while ago. It seems like only a little time passed but the year is nearing its end already. Subhan'Allah that's how short our lives really are.

It would be nice if I were able to do an Eid post like the last time but I won't do it just yet as the Eid has just begun. I will try, In sha Allah, to write a post after Eid giving a recap of my Eid though. Pray I do so unlike my other blogging promises :/
I apologise as I am not doing a really good job at keeping up. It's ironic compared to what this post is about and you'll find out in a while as you keep reading.

I haven't posted anything for a long while now because I've been occupied with a few things. University admissions haven't exactly been in my favour but insha'Allah I'll here good news soon. It's difficult to hold on during such a time but I keep reminding myself that Allah has better plans for me. When times get hard for me, I need something to strongly remind me that this is just a test and also something that will tell me not to give up yet. So then I visit Miss Zuhkey blog and read 10 ways to deal with rejection from college. May Allah bless this sweetheart for putting together this post so beautifully. It has helped me a lot and I'm sure it will help others too. Share it please. It will be a favor to them and sadaqah jaria on your part ^_^

And yes, I got rejected by this university that I was looking forward to get accepted in and was also confident that I would make it, but it turned out that they received many applications for the semester and so they had to filter out applications and yadda yadda....But now I've applied in another university and In sha Allah I'll make it.
I wasn't quite well the previous days either, but Alhamdulillah now I feel much better.

I spend a lot of time watching Korean drama these days and when I'm really bored, I read stories on wattpad. I've read a few and thought I'd share my review of some. I started reading books on wattpad in 2012 and found it addicting so I gave it a break because I felt it would disrupt my studying schedule and then resumed only a few months back.

I read "Dorm room 210" which is a romantic teen fiction novel. Honestly, I didn't enjoy it much and didn't know the story had ended when it did because I guess I was expecting a different ending or some twist. Here's the plot:

After having her parents killed in an accident, Lillian Camel is about to embark on a one girl mission: survive College. When hatred, friendship and love collide, Lillian is going to need the will power she has to face her roommate, the arrogant Noah Sky. Just how well will she do without giving up? Will she allow him to dig her a grave ten feet underground or be the one standing tall? Perhaps the ghost story of the past roommates from dorm room 210 will be repeated.

Then I read another fiction novel called "Fearsome Dreamer", which I loved. This one is all sci fi and fantasy like; it has all these imaginary worlds, creatures and stuff. Also it sort of reminded me of hunger games. But I am sort of disappointed as the story has a sequel which isn't available on wattpad so now I have to try my best to get my hands on its sequel, "The Illusionists". Argh I'm so curious as to what's next. *insert excited squeal*

Now, for the highlight of the post, my dear friend and sis Zuhkey from Miss Zuhkey nominated me for the Leibster award. I feel really honoured and grateful to her for it. And I also apologise for keeping her waiting for the award Q/A part.

As per the nomination I have to answer 11 questions that she put forward for the nominees to answer and nominate bloggers to answer 11 of my own questions. So here it is.

1. When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

A. A dubbing artist.
2. If you could visit any country in the world, where would you go?

A. If I had to visit any place, it would be Istanbul, Turkey.

3. If you could go back in history, who would you like to meet?

A. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) :')

4. Who in your life has influenced you the most? How did they do it?

A. I can't decide who influenced me the most :/ (Gurrrl you ask such tough questions, I can't even think straight)

5. What would you tell your 16 year old self?

A. To stop caring about what others think of me and just do what my heart tells me to.

6. What was the turning point in your life?

A. I haven't had one yet. This question scares me because it makes me think about the unthinkable. A turning point usually makes things wayy better or worse than ever. When there's a turning point in my life, In sha 'Allah, it will change things for the better (and I hope the same for everyone)

7. What’s one of your favorite questions to ask new friends or to get a conversation going?

A. I don't know. I don't have a "favorite" question. It depends on who I'm talking to.

8. What’s your most favorite part of your personality?

A. I have worse but not faves.

9. What was your favorite cartoon growing up?

A. I didn't have a favorite cartoon. I liked Garfield though.

10. What is your definition of beauty?

A. Any person who is good at heart is beautiful to me.

11. What do you love to do?

A. I love writing. It's the one thing that I can't give up. I can express myself better through it than I ever can through speech. I can't give up expression right?

Okay! now my turn...I would like to nominate the Liebster award to the following blogs.

1. Babra Mariam
2. Sweet Verbena
3. KJ Fashion House

And here are my 11 questions to them,

1. What genre of movies do you like best?
2. Are you multilingual? If so, which languages can you speak?
3. What's the strangest character about you in your opinion?
4. Which was the happiest moment in your life till date?
5. List some of your role models.
6. What's your favorite season?
7. What are your top 3 hobbies?
8. What's the one dream that you wish to come true?
9. Are you an introvert or extrovert? (this question is not supposed to be considered in a negative sense. Both types are good in their unique way)
10, Do you like crowds and hanging out in groups? (strange question? I ask because I feel it says a lot about a person)
11. Everyone has that one special thing they do when they're bored to death. What is it in your case?

I know the questions may be too weird or dumb for you to answer, but sorry, I can't think of better ones.

That's it for this post.

Have a good day. And once again, Eid Mubaaraaaakk!!

Silhouette xx
